Event Details

The Simcoe County Museum is inviting the public to travel thousands of years into the past for an evening of mystery, discovery, and cake at Tusk Tales: Species Reveal!

For quite some time, a tusk has been quietly keeping secrets in the museum’s collection. Now, thanks to new scientific findings, the wait is finally over. Was it carried by a towering mammoth or a mighty mastodon? The answer will be revealed live on May 6!

This all‑ages event promises an unforgettable night filled with prehistoric flair, leafy landscapes, and towering tusks. Guests are encouraged to make their best guess before the big reveal, enjoy a fascinating Tooth Talk diving into how experts identify these ice‑age giants, and even take a shot at winning a prize.

And because every great reveal deserves a celebration, the evening will culminate in a cake‑cutting ceremony that unveils the tusk’s true identity once and for all.
