First class per program is $175.00 + HST, additional classes per program on the same day costing $135.00 + HST. For schools outside Simcoe County, the cost is $215.00 + HST per class per program, with additional classes on the same day costing $175.00 + HST a class per program.

Dive into the diversity of life with an exciting classroom experience! Through crafts, games, and visual learning, students will explore the similarities and differences between various species and their environments. They’ll learn about the adaptations that help animals survive and get hands-on with different aspects of their survival.

Get ready to celebrate the festive season with a global twist! In this outreach program, we’ll bring the holiday cheer right to your classroom. Students will explore holidays and traditions from various cultures and uncover the international roots of some beloved Canadian holiday customs. With hands-on crafts and interactive lessons, they’ll gain a deeper appreciation for cultures from around the world.
Get ready for a fun, hands-on adventure where students will step into the shoes of pioneer children and learn how they helped on the farm! They’ll haul water, card wool, churn butter, and compare their modern chores to those of early settlers, all without leaving the classroom.

Step back in time and experience the magic of a Victorian Christmas! Students will uncover the origins of Canadian Christmas traditions and see how families celebrated in the 1800s. We’ll bring the festive spirit right to your classroom with beautiful Victorian Christmas tree decorations, Victorian toys from St. Nicholas, a Victorian Magic Lantern Show, and a special handmade Victorian gift for each student to take home and enjoy on Christmas.

Peek into our old-fashioned toy chest and let your students play with toys and games from the Victorian Era. They can try their hand at Jacks, play a round of marbles, and unfold the magic of Jacob’s ladder. Plus, each student will get to make a Victorian toy to take home and enjoy for years to come. Have fun the Victorian way, right from the comfort of your classroom!
Students will be immersed in early settler life without ever leaving their classroom in this outreach program. They will discuss pioneer life, see tools and clothes they used, learn about butter churning, participate in an early settler school lesson, and make a pioneer craft of their own to bring home.
Discover the fascinating world of geology right in your classroom! Students will gain an understanding of the properties of Canada’s rocks and minerals through hands-on activities and experiments. Students will learn how to identify rocks, minerals, and fossils, making unique use of the Museum’s rock testing kits and get to experience how a fossil is made through our craft.

Dive into the fascinating world of first contact between the Wendat and the French! In this hands-on program, students will explore the shared experiences of these two cultures by handling real artifacts, engaging in role-playing activities, and playing historical games. They’ll discover the similarities and differences between the Wendat and the French and learn about the profound impacts of their interactions.
We’re bringing the fur trade era right to your classroom! Through fun role-playing games and hands-on exploration of artifacts, students will discover how the fur trade connected Europeans and Indigenous peoples. They will also learn about the voyageurs, the unique group who transported furs and trade goods across what is now Canada.
Through role-playing activities and the examination of artifacts, replicas, images, and case studies of real service members from Simcoe County, students will learn the different ways that World War I affected real people from across this region. From soldiers to nurses to those serving on the Home Front, students will also learn some of the many ways in which local people contributed to the war effort and ultimate victory.
We’re bringing the winter fun right to your school! Students will dive into the fascinating history and construction of snowshoes, discovering how they work and their impact on Indigenous and European peoples over the centuries. Then, they’ll step outside to try snowshoeing firsthand. To top it all off, students will put their new skills to the test with an exciting race against their peers.
