Beyond the Glass Case

With the car in the shop and winter ahead, it was a perfect time to see if anything else required attention. Now is the time to rebuild the leaky water pump. A little bit of coolant in the valve galley suggests we check the head gasket, and while we are at it, drop the oil pan and have a look at the bearings and oil pump.  

With the help of volunteer Jeff Balkwill, we have rebuilt the distributor and water pump. As the weather warms, we will begin reassembling these critical engine and ignition components. With a little luck, the model ‘A’ will be kicking up dust this June.
