Farm and Construction Equipment


The Simcoe County Museum holds an impressive collection of machinery and heritage vehicles, including a 1922 Erie Steam Shovel and Caterpillar Sixty. In partnership with the Historical Construction Equipment Association of Canada (HCEA), the Museum displays both HCEA and Museum owned heritage construction equipment.

Heritage Buildings 


​​The Simcoe County Museum is home to ten heritage buildings that have been relocated to the Museum grounds from various locations around Simcoe County. From the 1834 Spearin log home to the newly relocated 1922 Cedar View Cottage, this architectural display of heritage buildings illustrate daily life and the growth and development of the area.​

Living and Working Gallery


​The newly designed Living and Working Gallery highlights the development of business and industry, military, fashion, daily life and technology in Simcoe County. Featuring artifacts from the 1890s to the 1970s, the gallery depicts changes that have occurred in this area throughout the twentieth century.
