2023 Award Winners
In April 2023 the Simcoe County Museum hosted the Simcoe County Heritage Fair again for the first time since 2019. Forty-nine Grade 4-8 students from six different schools from around the region participated, presenting research projects on a variety of topics in Canadian history, culture and society. Thanks to all the students, teachers, parents and volunteers who made this year's fair possible. Keep up the good work!

Black History Month Virtual Lecture Series
In honour of Black History Month, in February 2023 the Simcoe County Museum hosted a virtual lecture series featuring notable Black Canadian historians and scholars from across the region and the country. Each lecture explored a different aspect of the long history and current experience of Black people in Simcoe County and beyond.
